Rajinikanth next project ‘Raana'


Rajinikanth will play three roles in his next project ‘Raana', which brings the Rajinikanth-director K.S.Ravikumar-composer A.R. Rahman combination together after nearly a decade. For most fans of ‘superstar' Rajinikanth, the films ‘Muthu' and ‘Padaiyappa' made by this combination will invariably figure in the list of all-time favourites.

It will be a trilingual and the film will release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi by next year

The variety the actor brought to the three roles he played in the film took him to new levels of stardom. Yes, This time, for a full-fledged action movie in which the Superstar will play not one, but three roles!

The full length feature film, will have Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone playing the female lead.

Rajinikanth is also roping in cinematographer Rathnavelu, who worked with him in ‘Enthiran'.

Rajeevan is the art director.

Apart from co-producing the film, Soundarya Rajinikanth will also handle the special effects in it.

The director, known for his screenplay, intelligent humour and his cameo roles, can be expected to come up with a complete entertainer that would appeal to both rural and urban audiences, say industry sources.

Rajinikanth's last film Robot was a spectacular hit that released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi and grossed more than Rs. 400 crores worldwide.
